今作のセカンドアルバム「 Ultra St. Opera」は、 Into It. Over It., Sincere Engineerなどのバンドを手掛ける、Adam Beck を起用してシカゴのスタジオで録音された。また、レコーディングには、Ratboys, Into It. Over It., Pet Symmetry, Nectar, What Givesなどのメンバーが参加した。今回のアルバムのメロディーラインを重視した「Supermodel」 や「Life as a Hacker 」、「Haunted」、「Life Goes On」などは、90年代を継承したギターロックのセンスを感じることができる。また、ポップでキャッチーな、「Peace, Dog」、ノイズの渦で絶叫する「Leak」など、彼のソングライティングの幅の広さが表現されている。
